How do I turn off the modem sound? (Juno 5.0)

When your modem makes a connection with another computer, you will hear sounds that help you track whether your modem is successfully connecting. If you would rather not hear these sounds, you can turn the modem speaker off.

To turn off the modem speaker in Juno 3.0 or later:

1. Go to the Connection menu and select Configure Modem.
2. The Configure Modem screen will appear. Select the Turn off modem speaker check box.
3. Click OK.

To turn off the modem speaker in Juno 2.0:

1. Go to the Connection menu, and select Turn off Modem Speaker.
2. A check mark next to the Turn off Modem Speaker command indicates that the modem sound is off.

If you want to turn the sound on again, just click Turn off Modem Speaker on the Connection menu again.
