How to download the BlueLight Internet software through PeoplePC.

Now is the perfect time to make the switch from PeoplePC to BlueLight Internet! These pages will help make the transition go smoothly.

How to download the BlueLight Internet software through PeoplePC

A. Signing Up


To begin the signup process, first log in to PeoplePC. Once you are connected, use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser to sign up for our service and to download our software. To do this:

  1. Click the Windows Start button, select Programs, and select Internet Explorer.
  2. Once Internet Explorer opens, go to http://www.bluelightinternet.com and click Sign Up Now.
  3. Click the appropriate Sign Up Now button to begin the sign up process.

Note: If you are already a BlueLight Internet member and need an upgrade or a copy for a friend, click here to download, or click here for instructions with screen shots.

  1. On the Tell Us About You page, fill out the necessary boxes to set up your account.

  1. Enter your First and Last names in the boxes, followed by your Billing Address, City, State, and Zip Code.
  2. Enter your Phone number, and Alternate email address if you have one.
  3. If you would like to receive special offers at your alternate email address, click the corresponding checkbox.
  4. If you would like to register for special offers from Kmart.com, click the corresponding checkbox.
  5. Click Continue to proceed.
  6. The Select Your Username page will appear.

  1. Enter your desired username in the box, or choose a suggested username by clicking next to one of the different suggestions.
  2. Under the Password section, type in your desired password.
  3. Under the Re-enter password to confirm text box, type in your password again.
  4. Under the Security question drop-down menu, select a question.

    Note: In order to make a positive identification, a Customer Care representative will ask you this question when you inquire about or attempt to make changes to your account.
  5. In Answer text box, type in your answer.

    Note: This answer must also be provided to a Customer Care representative in order to complete the positive identification process.
  6. Click Continue to proceed.

  • If you chose to pay by credit card, follow the instructions below.
  • If you chose to pay by telephone bill, checking account, or savings account (for an extra fee), click here.

  1. The Choose Payment Method page will appear.

  1. Select your Credit card from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter your Credit card number in the box.
  3. Select your Expiration month from the dropdown menu.
  4. Select your Expiration year from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click Continue to proceed.

    Important: Be sure to click the Submit button only once or you may receive duplicate charges.
  6. When your credit card is accepted, a confirmation window will appear.

    Important: Please print this page in case you forget this information.


B. Downloading the Software

  1. Click on the Download Now link. A download window will appear.

If you would like to download the BlueLight Internet software to floppy disks, click here.

  1. Check the circle next to Save this program to disk.
  2. When prompted for a location to save to, choose your Desktop.
  3. Click OK.
