Tips for former AOL users

Now that you've made the switch to BlueLight Internet, you will notice certain differences in the way you connect to the Internet and use different features. However, you will still be able to access your AOL email, use your AIM Instant Messenger, and visit chat rooms and other areas of AOL that you enjoyed.

This page will provide you with a few tips to help you start using BlueLight Internet, and surfing the Internet.

A. How do I check my AOL and BlueLight Internet email?

When using BlueLight Internet to connect to the Internet you can access your AOL email at any time by going to AOL.com and logging in. However, as a BlueLight Internet member, you will also get Email on the Web, giving you a minimum of 1GB of mail storage, and access to your email from any computer with an Internet connection.

You can use Email on the Web, by either going to webmail.BlueLight Internet.com, or clicking on the Email on the Web tab at the top of your BlueLight Internet start page at http://my.BlueLight Internet.com

For more information on how to use Email on the Web, click here.

B. How do I check my BlueLight Internet account information?

You can check the status of your account information at any time, from any computer, by visiting https://account.mybluelight.com/s/account.

C. Can I still use my Instant Messenger (AIM)?

BlueLight Internet is compatible with most Instant Messaging programs, including AIM, so you can keep in touch with everyone on your buddy list. If you uninstalled AIM when you removed the AOL connection software, you can download the latest version by clicking here.
