Juno Backup Wizard (Juno 5.0) From time to time, especially right before installing a new version of Juno or importing your account, you may want to make a copy of, or "back up," the user information stored in your Juno account. Your user information can include your saved email messages and personal folders, Address Book, external email account settings, personal Spell Check dictionary, Mail Assistants, and other Juno user settings. If you are using Juno version 5.0, you can use the Juno Backup Wizard. To find out which version of Juno you are using: - Open the Juno software
- Go to the Help menu and select About Juno.
The Backup Wizard is a helpful tool that creates a single backup file containing all your user information.
To back up your accounts using the Juno Backup Wizard: - Make sure that you exit Juno. You cannot back up or restore any information while Juno is open.
- To start the wizard, click the Windows Start button and select Programs.
- Select Juno, then click Juno Backup Wizard.
- The Welcome to the Juno Backup Wizard screen will appear. To back up the files containing your user information, click the BackUp button.
- On the Backup screen that appears, select the copy of Juno that you want to back up and click Next.
- Select the user accounts you want to back up and click Next.
- Check the boxes next to the specific pieces of data that you would like to back up.
- If you are backing up more than one user account and want to back up the same set of information for each account, select the Back up the same data for reach subsequent user check box. To back up a different set of information for each user, clear this check box.
- Click Next to continue.
- Select the location where you would like the files to be saved. You might want to save them to a specific folder that contains all your backup files so you can find them easily in the future.
If you are going to reinstall the software and import your account, you might want to save the files to your desktop so you can easily locate them when it comes time to restore your account.
If you are going to import your account to an additional computer, you should save your backup files to a floppy disk (usually the a: drive).
- Making sure to note the location of your backup files, click Finish to exit the wizard.
To restore your accounts using the Juno Backup Wizard: - Exit Juno.
- To start the wizard, click the Windows Start button and select Programs.
- On the Welcome to the Juno Backup Wizard screen, click Restore.
- On the Restore screen that appears, select the appropriate file location (this will be the location where you backed up your files previously).
- If you have more than one backup file in the location you selected, a screen will appear so you can select the file you want to restore.
- Click Next.
- Select the copy of Juno you want to restore and click Next.
- Select the user accounts and click Next. (At this point, you should have already imported each account that you want to restore onto the computer.)
- Select the set of data that you wish to restore.
- If you are restoring more than one user account and want to restore the same set of information for each user, select the check box next to Restore the same data for each subsequent user. To restore a different set of information for each user, clear this check box.
- Click Next to complete the restoration process.
- Click Finish to exit the wizard.

- On the login screen, click the Email button.
- Answer No when asked if you want to check for new mail.
- Pull down the Help menu from the top of the screen and select Help Topics.
The information you will find is specifically for the Juno software version that is installed on your computer.
